Privacy Policy
Who runs this site
Chain Knowledge Hub, Hamilton, operates this website and is accountable for the personal information described in this notice, which follows the fair information principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). The site is an educational information service about crypto-assets. It is not a registered dealer, adviser, platform or money services business, and it does not ask for the details such a business would collect. Privacy questions: contact the person responsible for privacy at Chain Knowledge Hub via the email address in the footer, office38@chainknowledgehub.shop.
Email messages and CASL
We use your email address only to reply to your inquiry. We send no marketing or promotional email without your consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). If this ever changes, we will ask for your permission first, say who is sending the message, and include a working way to unsubscribe in every message. You can also stop any message from us at any time by writing to office38@chainknowledgehub.shop. Spam can be reported to the Spam Reporting Centre run by the Government of Canada.
Your right to see and correct it
You are entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you, to see it, to have it corrected, and to withdraw your consent. Send your request to office38@chainknowledgehub.shop with the name and email address you used for your inquiry, and expect a question or two to confirm your identity. We answer within 30 days of receiving the request. Should we need longer, or decline, we explain our reasons and how to make a complaint.
Challenging our compliance
Privacy questions: contact the person responsible for privacy at Chain Knowledge Hub via the email address in the footer. You can challenge how we handle your personal information by writing to that person at office38@chainknowledgehub.shop, and we will look into it and reply. If the matter is not resolved, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/report-a-concern/. The Office asks people to try to resolve the concern with the organization first.
Identifying purposes
The inquiry form asks for your name, your email address and your message. We collect them to read and answer your inquiry, and for no other purpose. Please do not put recovery phrases, passwords, wallet addresses or account numbers in the message. When you visit, our server and any tags on the site also receive technical data: IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view and the page that referred you. We use it to keep the site working and secure and to understand how it is used.
Who receives your information
Service providers that host the site and deliver email process your inquiry for us and only on our behalf. They may store information on servers outside Canada, where local law can apply while the information is there. If advertising or measurement tags are in use, their providers, for example Google, receive technical and usage data. The contents of your inquiry are not sold, and they are not given to advertisers.
Consent and withdrawing it
We collect your name, email address and message with your consent, which you give by sending the inquiry form for the purposes stated above. We use and share them only for those purposes unless you agree to something else or the law requires it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by writing to office38@chainknowledgehub.shop. Withdrawing may mean that we can no longer answer your inquiry. Optional analytics run only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
Keeping information correct and protected
A correct email address is needed for us to reply, so please check it before you send the form. If something is wrong, write to office38@chainknowledgehub.shop and we will correct our records. Personal information is protected by safeguards that match how sensitive it is, including limited access, secure connections and careful choice of providers. No online system is entirely free of risk. Where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and report it as the law requires.
How long we keep it
Collection is limited to what the stated purposes call for. An inquiry and our reply are kept only as long as needed to answer you and deal with any follow-up, and technical data only as long as needed to operate and protect the site. A record may be kept longer where the law requires it or to deal with a dispute. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or made anonymous. The cookie choice remains in your browser until you change it or clear site data.
